What It All Means

The last time Pluto was in Aquarius was 1778-1798. The Industrial and French Revolutions occurred during that time, and the American Constitution (“We the people”) was written. Some people are calling this transit “power to the people,” but that doesn’t mean everyone gets what they want. It means that majority decisions and community needs rise above individual concerns and desires. And any corruption or toxicity impacting the greater good will be exposed, so we can remove it and redirect our collective energy.

The current Pluto in Capricorn years have confronted us with the rising influence of corporate monopolies, dictatorial leaders, economic crises, and the regression of human rights. They have unearthed issues around authority, government, business, laws and regulations, leadership integrity, and the ‘establishment.’ We can’t continue managing people and resources the way we have been. With Pluto reaching the last degrees of Capricorn, we’ve hit the ceiling. The top can’t go on, and the bottom starts to rise up.

When Pluto moves into Aquarius, there’s a shift to empower the people as a whole— not a top-down approach. There will be less tolerance for abusing power or wielding power over others. Pluto in Aquarius wants freedom from the ‘old ways’ that keep us down. More rebellion and revolution are likely. Pluto entering Aquarius is the doorway to a collective new generation with new rules, voices, and opportunities.
