Lapis lazuli is a metamorphic rock prized for its deep celestial blue color, often speckled with gold (pyrite) or white (calcite) inclusions. Primarily composed of lazurite, it has a Mohs hardness of 5–5.5 and a density of 2.7–3.0 g/cm³. Historically used for pigment and jewelry, it is believed to enhance wisdom, truth, and self-expression.
