Larvikite is a dark, iridescent igneous rock known for its metaphysical properties of grounding, protection, and spiritual insight, as well as its physical characteristics of dark grey, blue, or silver shimmering colors, and the mineral component of labradorescence. It is named for its origin in the Larvik region of Norway and is recognized as a national rock there
