How It Works

• Equilibrium: The pendulum hangs straight down when it is at rest.

• Restoring Force: When you pull it to the side, gravity pulls it back toward the center.

• Oscillation: As it swings through the center, momentum carries it out to the other side before gravity pulls it back again.
